CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE NOT YET LEFT THE UK

Customers should not travel to the airport

Package Holidays booked directly with Monarch Holidays
If a customer has a package holiday booked through Monarch Holidays then their claim will be against the company’s ATOL licence and they should contact the Civil Aviation Authority. There is no cover on their travel insurance for a package holiday that cannot be taken. All information is on the website: https://monarch.caa.co.uk.

Package Holidays & Flights booked through another travel company or travel agent
Customers should contact the booking company directly as they will be responsible for arranging a new flight or providing a refund for their booking.

Flight bookings with Monarch Airlines
Flights booked before 14 December 2016 should be protected by the company’s ATOL licence and customers should contact the Civil Aviation Authority. Refunds will be issued by them. All information is on the website:https://monarch.caa.co.uk.

Flights booked from 15 December 2016 onwards are not ATOL protected and not entitled to make a claim to the Civil Aviation Authority. These customers should contact their card issuer or Paypal, depending on how they paid for their tickets for advice on how to claim a refund.

SUPPLIER FAILURE INSURANCE
Most of our travel insurance policies do not cover for any failure of tour operator or airline. However some policies have a Supplier Failure Cover endorsement. If this is in place the customer should first contact the Civil Aviation Authority and/ or their card issuer (as above) as the policy will only provide cover in the event that losses cannot be recovered from any other source. For all claims please email [email protected]
